Beautiful piece, fast delivery
Use the exact wording of a real review with the customer's permission.

Everything you need to know about buying, sizing, delivery and caring for one-of-a-kind antique jewellery. Can’t find your answer? We aim to respond to all queries within 2 hours, 8am–6pm Monday–Friday.
Ordering & payment
Yes. We sell genuine antique and vintage jewellery, so there is only ever one of each piece. Once it sells, it moves to the archive and cannot be reordered — if you love something, don’t wait too long.
If a piece shows a price and an “Add to cart” button, it’s available. Sold pieces remain on the site marked Sold, with the price removed. If you’ve missed out, use the “Enquire about similar pieces” button on that page and we’ll look out for something comparable for you.
Quite possibly — we handle holds personally rather than through an automated system. Use the “Ask our team” link on the product page or contact us, tell us the piece, and we’ll come straight back to you with options. We aim to respond within 2 hours, 8am–6pm Monday–Friday.
Checkout is handled by Shopify’s encrypted payment platform. We accept all major debit and credit cards, plus PayPal, Apple Pay, Google Pay and Shop Pay. Your card details never touch our servers.
Any applicable taxes are shown at checkout before you pay. For deliveries outside the UK, local import duties or fees may apply depending on your country — these are set by your customs authority, not by us. If you’re unsure, ask us before ordering and we’ll help you work out what to expect.
Ring sizing & resizing
The current finger size is listed on each ring’s page under “The details” or in the description, in UK letter sizing. If you’d like the equivalent in US or EU sizing, just ask — we’re happy to convert it for you.
Most can, within a few sizes either way — but it depends on the ring. Full eternity bands, heavily engraved shanks and some delicate settings are best left at their original size. Contact us before ordering and we’ll confirm whether your ring can be safely resized, what it costs and how long it takes.
The most reliable way is to have your finger measured at any local jeweller — it takes a minute and is usually free. Measuring at the end of the day gives the truest result, as fingers change size with temperature. If the ring is a surprise, borrow a ring they wear on the correct finger and we’ll take the size from that.
Alterations are made specifically for you, so rings we’ve resized at your request may be treated differently from unaltered pieces — please see our returns policy, or ask us before ordering if you’d like certainty either way.
Delivery
Every order is sent fully insured, tracked from our hands to yours, and requires a signature on arrival — jewellery is never left on a doorstep. Pieces travel in plain, discreet outer packaging with our signature presentation inside.
We dispatch promptly and you’ll receive tracking as soon as your piece is on its way. Exact timings depend on your location — full details are in our delivery policy. If you need a piece by a particular date, tell us and we’ll do everything we can.
Yes — antique jewellery finds new homes all over the world. International orders are sent with the same insured, tracked, signature-on-arrival service. See our delivery policy for destinations and timings, and note that local import charges may apply depending on your country.
Yes. Every piece arrives beautifully presented and ready to give. If your order is a gift, leave us a note at checkout — we’ll make sure no paperwork with prices goes inside the parcel.
Returns
We want you to be delighted, not just satisfied. If a piece isn’t right, you can return it in the condition it arrived within the window set out in our returns policy. Contact us first and we’ll walk you through the process — it’s straightforward.
Contact us with your order number and we’ll confirm the next steps, including how to package and insure the piece for its journey back. Please don’t post anything before speaking to us — uninsured returns travel at your own risk.
This is rare — every piece is checked before dispatch and travels insured — but if anything is wrong, photograph the parcel and the piece as received and contact us straight away. We’ll put it right quickly.
Authenticity & condition
Age leaves evidence. We examine construction methods, cut styles, settings, hallmarks, wear patterns and materials under magnification — details that are extremely difficult to fake convincingly. Each piece’s period is stated on its page, and we only sell pieces we’re confident in. We don’t sell reproductions.
They refer to the era in which the piece was made — each with its own materials, techniques and style. Our learning hub has a guide to every era, from Georgian candlelight jewels to Art Deco geometry.
Honest, well-loved and structurally sound. A piece that has been worn for a century will show gentle signs of its age — softened engraving, minor surface marks — and we photograph and describe anything notable rather than hiding it. What you will never find is a piece we wouldn’t be happy to wear ourselves.
Where a piece is hallmarked, the hallmarks are described on its page. Stones are identified by inspection and stated in the listing. If you’d like additional independent verification or a valuation for insurance, ask us — we can point you in the right direction.
Sold pieces & the archive
Two reasons. They’re a record of what passes through our hands — useful if you’re researching a style or era — and they’re the best way to show us what you love. Browse the archive and enquire about anything that catches your eye.
Antique prices move with the market, so an old price can be misleading — and pieces we’ve rehomed belong to their new owners. We’d rather talk about what a similar piece would cost today.
Often, yes — sourcing is what we do. Every sold piece has an “Enquire about similar pieces” button that sends us the details automatically. Tell us what drew you to it (the stone, the era, the shape) and we’ll keep watch on your behalf.
Wishlist & help
Tap the heart on any piece to save it — no account needed. Your wishlist is waiting under the heart icon in the header whenever you return, and you can share it with someone who might need a hint. With one-of-a-kind pieces, the wishlist is the best way not to lose track of the one you keep thinking about.
Use the “Ask our team” link on any product page — it opens a short form and tells us exactly which piece you’re looking at — or reach us through the contact page. We aim to respond to all queries within 2 hours, 8am–6pm Monday–Friday.
